WINTER SKIN SAVERS

Some of us love winter and some of us do not  but one thing that is certain, your skin does not. During the cold, harsh winter months our skin tends to become more dry and sometimes irritated. The dry air sucks out moisture out of your skin.

So we are here to give you a few tips that you can apply to help your skin during winter.

 

1. GENTLE CLEANSING ROUTINE!

Keep your cleansing routine super gentle because colder seasons tend to weaken your skin because its dry, so its important to use cleasers that do not strip too much of your natural oils. We reccomend double cleansing (using an oil based cleanser first, then a water based cleanser) all year round but especially during winter months. We reccomend using our CLEANSING OIL to remove your make and grime of the day followed with a hydrating cleanser. This is a winter skin saver!

 2. HYDRATION HEALS!

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. And, then, hydrate some more!!

Remember, the dry air sucks out moisture out of your skin. So it is vital to make sure your skin is constantly hydrated and we recommend that you add a facial oil to your winter skincare routine. Oils not oily hydrate your skin but also help lock in the hydration and the best part is they are good for all skin types, even oily skin types.

3. BLOCK THOSE RAYS — SUNSCREEN

Yes! Sunscreen. The myth is that “people do not need sunscreen in winter” — WRONG! We need sunscreen ALL YEAR ROUND and it’s just as important during summer as it is during winter!

Even though the weather outside is colder, your skin may still be absorbing more of the ultraviolet rays even when it’s cloudy the UV rays may still be absorbed by your skin. It’s also important to wear  sunscreen to protect yourself from skin cancer, premature aging signs and uneven skin . Plus it’s another layer to protect you from the harsh weather.
